Vintage Mom Creations

I have always been a “maker”. I love to create and do it daily. I am an American Indian woman who studies genealogy.. It’s one of my passions.
I am also a card-carrying Cherokee Woman, I carry a “minority” card, not a B.I.A. card… I do not need the government to tell me how to be an American Indian, nor do I need confirmation from them. I can feel the words of my ancestors running through my veins and I am proud.

Ah, but I digress. Creating, Creations, Vintage Mom Creations~

About me~
I am a happily married woman, mother of four. I am a sister, a daughter, a dreamer, a warrior, and a student of the world. I’m a strong woman and yet unafraid to let my husband open my door. My children are the greatest in the world. (Just ask me) They are multi-talented and I am honored that they chose me for their mother. They are my four finest ever creations.

I love to create and I create in every medium that I can find. In the eighties it was dried flowers.. I mean dried flowers EVERYWHERE. In wreaths.. in vases, well, you get the idea. Then the candles entered my thoughts. I poured candles into every available glass or metal container. I created my own molds. I burned my fingers and gave everyone candles.

And today, here I am. I have worked with woods and beads and gems and glass and leather and metals and I’m having a wonderful time.

As for “Vintage Mom Creations” and online sales.. This came to be out of love.
You see, June of 2006, my daughter Isabel was born with Down Syndrome. Leaving me no choice as to whether I could go back to the workforce. In my mind, I need her to be able to communicate with me before I could possibly leave her and go off to make money. Therefore, I decided to do something I love. I CREATE. Vintage Mom Creations and my selling online is allowing me to be home to mold and shape and love my children.. and still mold and shape and create beauty that I can offer to you. So, In a nutshell, that’s my story. I am a very easy person to talk to, feel free to contact me to chat or to throw an idea at me! I’d love to create you something you’ll love forever.

Many Blessings,
Renita Nunley-Ruiz aka ~ Vintage Mom Creations
